We are looking for a Finance & Strategy Director to join Block and help build Cash App, the fastest growing financial app in the world. We are reinventing the way people think about banking and financial services through our P2P, Banking, Cash Card, Boost, BTC, and stock investing products. We find valuable insights from our extremely unique datasets and turn those into actions that improve the experience for our customers every day.
The Finance & Strategy team is responsible for improving strategic, financial, and operational decision-making across Square. You Will:

• Lead the Cash App Finance & Strategy team's efforts to support the Financial Services and Bitcoin abstractions within Cash App. These abstractions include products across our consumer banking portfolio (Cash App Card), lending (Borrow), and stock/bitcoin investing
• Report to the head of Finance & Strategy for Cash App
• Oversee the forecast and financial results, communicate important takeaways to Cash App and Block leadership; identify risks and opportunities associated with financial performance
• Manage ad-hoc analyses and special projects as requested by Cash App and Block business partners related to performance/metrics, P&L analysis, contract negotiation, among other topics
• Manage a team of 7 within Cash Finance & Strategy
• Drive cross-functional partnerships with the Cash App product development team as well as Cash App operations, corporate finance, treasury, and accounting teams to support new product development, influence strategic roadmaps, and support investment
• Partner with our Treasury team on deposit and balance sheet allocation strategy

Qualifications
You Have:

• Experience with Analytics tools including familiarity with SQL
• 12+ years of relevant industry experience (e.g. investment banking, private equity, investments, strategic finance, corporate finance)
• Experience with banking/capital markets or the payments industry
• Excellent proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (be prepared for a case study)
• A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant field

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone B: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone C: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone D: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
