We are looking for a Field Service Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to represent Piercetek as a system matters expert at our customers' sites. We are looking for individuals with industrial maintenance experience, a working knowledge of both mechanical systems, and a basic understanding of industrial control systems to install, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery in customer facilities. The goal is to drive service success by increasing customer satisfaction, customer retention, and profitability.

What we expect of you as a Field Service Engineer
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
·Plan and execute a wide range of assembly, testing, and adjustments on machine assemblies, with a focus on electro-mechanical systems.
·Assist and guide customers with the installation, adjustment, and repair of equipment.
·Train customer personnel (and coworkers) on proper equipment operation.
·Fundamental control programming and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems.
·Follow all trade safety practices and procedures, as well as Piercetek standards.
·Inspect equipment installation to ensure that company guidelines and tolerances are met.
·Provide industrial equipment service at customer locations, including testing, troubleshooting, and adjusting as needed.
·Check specifications with various gauges, meters, and electrical testing equipment.
·Provide telephone technical support to customers, addressing and resolving questions and problems.
·Communicate with appropriate company employees about product issues to expedite problem resolution.
·Complete all required customer and company records and documentation.
·Maintain technical competence and stay up to date on industry developments.
Preferred Qualifications
Field Service experience is required.
Technical equipment troubleshooting, testing, repair, and service.
Ability to work a variety of shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
Technical education or experience.
Working knowledge of the PC computer platform and the Windows operating system environment is required.
Strong technical skills in equipment installation, repair, and servicing.
Capability to recognize color-coded wiring and components.
Knowledge of low voltage circuitry, PLCs, and mechanical systems is required.
Requirements and skills
Must be able to travel across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Must have a valid US driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to go up and down stairs, climb ladders, and lie on the floor.
