Summary

We are seeking a Field Engineer to join our Precision Solutions team! This role is responsible for the final testing and commissioning of complex Audio-Visual systems during and post build. This position will also provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments as well as establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager to provide documented test resultS from system testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Make minor programming changes under the direction of an engineer or programmer
• Configure IP addressable devices to establish communication on a network
• Write code for DSP systems
• Perform client training and final job documentation as needed
• Act as a customer liaison in absence of Project Manager
• Test point-to-point functionality of systems
• Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installation
• Ability to travel to various job sites required
• Fine tune audio video systems to ensure optimal performance
• Field installation of control programs (Crestron) – upload and download capability
• Create, track, and complete a project Punchlist
• Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting for Crestron and DSP systems
• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints

Requirements

• Possess 2 years of working knowledge of Crestron multi-layer switch configuration, troubleshooting, and design
• Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Advanced signal flow for audio, video, and control
• Proficient with test and calibration equipment
• Support user acceptance testing
• Ability to communicate and interact with internal employees, clients, and colleagues in a professional and timely manner
• Excellent multitasking capabilities while adapting to changing priorities
• Understand IP networking
• 2+ years of experience in VTC systems programming, design and implementation as it relates Crestron components
• Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues
• Minor programming capability (Crestron) – changes and troubleshooting
• Solid organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to diagnose complex system problems

Preferred Requirements

• A current Crestron Service Provider (CSP) certification

• None.

Clearance Requirements

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Top Secret clearance is required.
