Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer Jobs

Davenport, Iowa - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Davenport, Iowa. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will provide daily engineering support to manufacturing areas in the Davenport Works fabrication department.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties

• Specify and design tooling to improve safety both pro-actively & reactively.
• Communicate across multiple shifts.
• Improve Fabrication's safety culture through active engagement: 48 hr. conversation, execution, and project closure. The goal is simple: Get More Projects Done and Improve visibility to project completion.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement to achieve CI200 targets for safety.
• Innovate & implement safety & ergonomic improvement ideas.
• Support daily operation by responding to tactical safety issues.

Requirements

• Must be able to work and communicate effectively as part of a diverse team that includes UAW employees, operations, and engineering.
• Experience in primary (lasers), secondary (bend), welding (both manual & robotic).
• Engineering background required and familiarity with Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to work first shift, but will need to be able to flex to 2nd/3rd shift for coverage, etc.

Preferred Skills

• Machining experience.
