GENERAL FUNCTION: Senior Investment Banking leadership role supporting new business development initiatives while independently managing teams to execute complex real estate and related strategic advisory engagements. The role leverages a well-rounded complement of skills including expert corporate finance and analytical capabilities, pitching, managing and closing complex real estate and related financial transactions while using sound business judgement and strong interpersonal skills to generate positive client outcomes. Collaborate with Capital Markets product partners along with other parts of the Bank including commercial RMs, private bank and senior management to provide differentiated solutions to our clients and prospects. Provide input on strategic direction of the group as well as professional development of the team. Key leadership qualities to support the success of real estate and the bank’s commercial strategy.

Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients focused on the delivery of advice and analysis around real estate investment banking (REIB).
• High attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality work product consistently.
• Achieves business goals while demonstrating the bank's core values and risk behaviors.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple deal teams to achieve results with complexity of varying priorities and time sensitive deadlines.
• Optimize the talent and skills development of team members within the group.
• Capability and capacity to expand non-deal leadership roles that enhance the effectiveness and engagement of the team.
• Leverage expert industry knowledge to assess key market and financial trends impacting clients and create thematic content pieces and pitch ideas to present to clients and prospects.
• Manage the entirety of the REIB process in the structuring, approval and execution of REIB engagements from initiation to close while serving as the lead in the communications of this advice to the client.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills Required

• Strong industry insights, market knowledge and proven deal track record required to support new business initiatives.
• 10+ years of experience in real estate transactions, and or investments sales, investment banking or capital markets.
• Proven track record of success in leading teams to structure, negotiate and execute complex real estate-related transactions.
• Visible leadership as mentor in the training, retention and development of talent.
• Series 79, 63 license required.
• Proactive creativity to generate new ideas supported by communication and business judgement skills needed to convert the best ideas into actionable opportunities.
• MBA or the functional equivalent.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage a team.
• Strong collaboration, communication and leadership skills.
• Expertise in one of more industries
• Exceptional technical and analytical skills.
