Job Description

The Executive Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the legal team supporting GM’s Corporate Development and Strategy & Innovation team.
Department Overview
As a member of the GM Legal Staff, Administrative Assistants strive to be role models for the Company by supporting the delivery of high-performance legal services with high integrity. The GM Legal Staff’s objectives are to deliver timely, best-in-class, business, advisory, and legal services in close collaboration with business partners to accomplish their objectives while simultaneously protecting GM’s high standards of legal, ethical, and financial integrity. Responsibilities
  • Maintain electronic filing system and regularly update Team Connect system with transaction details and budgets
  • Manage office environment, including handling mail, ordering supplies, maintaining office equipment, etc.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying
  • Prepare and submit expense reports
  • Assist in resolving any administrative problems
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, manage calendars, and prepare agendas
  • Assist in drafting and proofreading regular reporting
  • Assist attorneys to prepare for meetings, including setup of phone, AV and telepresence
  • Assist with creation of meeting materials including PowerPoint decks and presentations

  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant administrative experience in a professional office setting
  • Maintains a focused, calm demeanor under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions within the scope of assigned authority
  • High level of organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • High level of confidentiality and ability to exercise discretion
  • Ability to work flexible hours, when needed
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Easily adapts to new technology and seeks opportunities to continuously learn and broaden understanding of client and GM organization
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and use of computer systems and related software (Team Connect, Document Management, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Ability to work both independently, with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment
  • Understands connection between role and broader team
  • Communicates effectively with various levels of Legal Staff, clients and external parties
Additional
Compensation: The expected base compensation for this role is: $49,066 - $72,520 USD Annual . Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
