Position

Rockefeller Asset Management, a division of Rockefeller Capital Management, offers traditional and alternative equity and fixed income strategies across active, multi-factor passive, and thematic approaches that seek outperformance over multiple market cycles, driven by a disciplined investment process and a highly collaborative team culture. With over 30 years of experience in global investing and ESG-integrated research, we pair our distinctive worldview and long-term investment horizon with thorough research combining traditional and non-traditional analysis generating insights and outcomes not commonly found in the investment community. In the analyst role, the candidate will focus on the Financials sector, conduct industry and company-specific research on a global basis in support of the firm’s long-only investment strategies. The analyst will develop in-depth industry knowledge, perform maintenance coverage on existing positions, identify attractive investment opportunities and make investment recommendations. An integral component of the job will be incorporating ESG diligence and shareholder engagement into the research process. The individual must be a team player willing to work closely with other members of the analyst team and portfolio managers. Candidates should exhibit curiosity, strong communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, a passion for investing, and a desire to continuously learn. The role will also involve participating in meetings with company management teams, industry experts, sell-side research analysts, and other market participants.

Responsibilities

• Interact with public/private company management teams and industry experts
• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on the Financials sector including analysis of the industry and competitors
• Incorporate ESG factors into the research process
• Connect regularly with the Director of Research, portfolio managers and other associates in a collaborate manner
• Attend conferences/conference calls and analyst meetings
• Maintain research coverage of existing holdings
• Generate insights to identify attractive investment opportunities and make recommendations to the investment team
• Provide client support to assist sales and marketing efforts

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly in written and verbal form
• High levels of curiosity and receptivity to fresh approaches to investing
• Ability to work closely in a team environment
• Foreign language a plus
• Exhibit integrity, responsibility, empathy, enthusiasm and proactivity

Skills

• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred

Compensation Range

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for other variable compensation programs.
