Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and dependable Entry-Level Help Desk Assistant to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. As a Help Desk Assistant, you will play a role in providing technical support and assistance. This position requires working closely with staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems, and resolving end-user issues.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of help desk requests, including problem descriptions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Collaborate with the helpdesk support team to identify and implement process improvements to enhance overall system performance and user experience.
- Provide basic user training and guidance on utilizing software applications and IT systems effectively.
- Assist in testing and deploying new software applications or hardware components as required.
- Respond to user inquiries, assess technical issues, and provide timely resolutions or escalate to the appropriate team member if necessary.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including IT security protocols, to safeguard confidential information and maintain data integrity.
- Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks on Windows-based computers, including software installations, updates, and system optimizations.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Stay updated on the latest technology trends, security practices, and industry standards related to networking, access controls, CCTV, and Windows computer systems.
Qualifications Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or coursework in IT-related fields are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Customer service skills with the ability to effectively interact with end-users and colleagues at all levels.
- Basic understanding of networking principles, access controls, CCTV systems, and Windows computer systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Basic knowledge of software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting on Windows-based platforms.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.

- When needed work after regular working hours to meet deadlines.

- Travel when needed to satellite locations.
- The job will require pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, standing, sitting, walking, driving and writing.
- Typical working hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
