The Engineering Manager will oversee the technical development and delivery of our software products. This position places a strong emphasis on people management, fostering a positive and productive work culture, and driving the success of our engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, product management and design, to define technical requirements, project scope, and deliverables.
• Drive the software development life cycle, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Optimize resource utilization, including staffing, budgeting, and vendor management, to achieve project objectives
• Collaborate with project management to allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and deliverables.
• Drive team’s performance management - conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to optimize individual and team performance.
• Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence, promoting the use of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting their professional development and ensuring their career progression.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software engineering, and provide recommendations for process improvements and technical enhancements.
• Manage, lead, mentor, and inspire a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and growth.
• Facilitate effective communication within the team, encouraging open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Identify potential risks or roadblocks in projects and proactively address or escalate them.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage project expectations, communicate project status, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or a similar leadership role within a start-up environment.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong technical background in software development, preferably within enterprise software.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in developing cloud software solutions for enterprise clients (B2B) and in direct collaboration with clients as a representative of the engineering team
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects to successful completion, meeting deadlines and delivering quality results.
