SciTec has an immediate opportunity for a talented Endpoint Systems Administrator supporting our Dayton, OH office. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining a mixed environment of Windows and Linux systems. This position supports SciTec's internal development efforts and is not a contracted position for support of a third party.
Responsibilities

• Contributing to other information technology support activities throughout SciTec
• Administering small TCP/IP networks for use by engineering staff
• Other duties as assigned
• Managing patches and remediating vulnerabilities in operating systems and application software
• Maintaining documentation of system administration processes and activities.
• Maintaining configuration control of endpoint systems and supporting SciTec Information Assurance staff in verifying that all systems are configured in accordance with SciTec security standards and with applicable DoD STIGs.
• Identifying opportunities for the improvement of SciTec systems architecture and processes and supporting the implementation of these improvements
• Administering a mixed fleet of Windows 10, Windows 11, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux workstations and servers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented
• An active SECRET or higher level security clearance. US Citizenship and background checks are required.
• 2 years of experience in information technology, including either the administration of Linux or Windows workstations.

The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
