Role Summary
Alaska Airlines is seeking an Employee Relations Partner (Professional 2) or Senior Employee Relations Partner (Professional 3) to join the Employee Relations Partner team at Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment in partnering with leadership to look into workplace concerns, while making recommendations and driving resolution in a variety of situations.
Key Duties
- The Senior Employee Relations Partner (Professional 3) is a subject matter expert in investigations and employee relations issues, providing advisement and consultation to leaders working through investigations and employee relations matters on approach and best practices with practical implementation strategies.
- The Employee Relations Partner (Professional 2) is responsible for resolving employee relations issues, leading employee investigations, interpreting policies and procedures and providing general employee relation support to leaders.

Employee Relations Partner (Professional 2)
Required
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Demonstrated ability in providing excellent judgement, influencing others, and in problem solving.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
- Innovative, apolitical, resilient, fact-based, and a creative solutions-focused mindset, with ability to thrive in a rapidly-changing, collaborative environment and to manage conflict.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree.
- Demonstrated ability to seek out and incorporate feedback from all levels of the organization.
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources or related area.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Microsoft products as well as common HR applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
- In-depth experience in HR functional areas (generalist, employee relations, investigations, compliance etc.)
- Previous work experience with employees represented by a union.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience with communications and change management.
Senior Employee Relations Partner (Professional 3)
Required
- Minimum age of 18.
- 4 years of experience in Human Resources, leadership or a related area.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Microsoft products as well as common HR applications.
- Demonstrated ability to seek out and incorporate feedback from all levels of the organization.
- Innovative, apolitical, resilient, fact-based, and a creative solutions-focused mindset, with ability to thrive in a rapidly-changing, collaborative environment and to manage conflict.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
- Experience designing and managing complex processes, as well as managing projects.
- Demonstrated ability in providing excellent judgement, influencing stakeholders, and in problem solving.
Preferred
- Experience with communications and change management.
- Previous work experience with employees represented by a union.
- In-depth experience in HR functional areas (generalist, employee relations, etc.).
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.
- Knowledge of employee relations that cover a wide variety of employee needs and concerns, such as understanding local, state and federal laws, conflict and grievance resolution, policy application, and general human resources components.

Salary Range
$63,400 - $121,400 / year
Pay Details
Professional level 2: $63,400 - $95,000
Professional level 3: $81,000 - $121,400

Pay will be based on multiple factors,includingand not limited to relevant experience/level, level of the role and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees.
