Embedded Hardware Engineer Jobs

We are looking for a Hardware Engineer to design and evaluate embedded hardware for emerging consumer electronic devices such as AR & VR devices. You'll develop validation and characterization test plans for embedded hardware modules with cross-functional, distributed engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop validation and characterization test plans for embedded hardware modules
• Develop test plan, create test procedures, and perform lab measurements for high speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, USB, MIPI
• Perform signal-integrity analysis and verification of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, USB, using high speed lab instruments
• Set up and maintain hardware and software test infrastructure
• Publish test reports and track specification failures
• Design and validate embedded hardware for emerging consumer electronics devices such as AR and VR devices
• Test, debug, and characterize high-speed digital IPs and ICs through a combination of FPGA, JTAG, and analog interfaces.
• Analyze measured performance against design specifications.
• Perform HW, SW, and FW bring up, integration and validation in the lab
• Design and review of critical PCB layout for signal integrity

Qualifications

• PCB design and validation for embedded hardware modules
• CAD tools for hardware and PCB design and layout
• High-speed oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and vector network analyzer
• A programming or test automation language such as C++ or Python is a plus
• System bring up in the lab requiring HW, SW, and FW integration
• Signal-integrity analysis and validation of high-speed interfaces
• Test development, debug, and reporting for high speed interfaces
• Hardware design and testing for high-speed standards and protocols such as PCIe, or USB, or MIPI
• Lab measurement data analysis against design specifications
