Title: Embedded Software Engineer - 97874

Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer in Crop Care software for Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Ankeny, Iowa, you will be a member of an embedded development scrum team working with multiple stakeholders to build and implement functionality for self-propelled application equipment. In addition you will:

• Operate in a scrum team environment on varying projects with direction from a project lead(s)
• Design, develop, and test software for a broad spectrum of Deere equipment functionality
• Provide product support of the system(s)

What Skills You Need

• Ability and experience working in a self-directed mode
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with real-time operating system concepts
• Strong demonstrated problem-solving skills
• 1-2+ years of experience in embedded software development with experience in design, development, and testing
• 1-2+ years of experience in software development in C, C++, and/or other scripting programming languages

What Makes You Stand Out

• Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems in an automotive or agricultural setting
• Experience with control system design
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Multiple years of experience with CAN communication protocols such as J1939 and ISO 11783
• Experience using Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in (specify degree or degrees) Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
