Our Senior Hardware Engineer:

Is primarily responsible for design, development, testing, and transition to production of hardware products. The Hardware Engineer participates in requirements gathering, prototyping, and testing activities,

Responsibilities:

• Ensures internal and external customers are kept in the loop about progress and promptly informed when issues are fully resolved.
• Works with vendors and partners toward hardware production.
• Designs prototype and production hardware.
• Understands component sourcing issues and consider them during hardware development activities.
• Facilitates testing of prototype and production hardware.
• Engages confidently and professionally with customers throughout all interactions.
• Works with internal and external factory partners to facilitate product testing and quality assurance.
• Follows up with internal and external customers in a timely manner.
• Works across teams to help gather product requirements and translate them into hardware design constraints.
• Leads testing and certification efforts for hardware designs.
• Communicates effectively with a variety of personalities and technical backgrounds.
• Documents hardware designs and test procedures.

Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Eight + years of experience in developing hardware for production products
• Solution-focused and superb problem-solving skills; ability to apply reasonable logic to troubleshoot and resolve issues or make recommendations to appropriate personnel regarding support-related processes.
• Skilled in PCBA design, including schematic capture, layout, BOM management, and transfer to manufacturing activities
• Experience with test equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMM, etc.
• Experience with power electronics, AC power systems a plus
• Experience in the EV space a plus
• Expertise in testing and troubleshooting electronic systems

Job Title and Compensation:

• The base salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $230,000, based on full-time employment.
• Actual salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and work location.
