Hardware Quality Engineer Jobs

What you do

• Lead Assurance Engineering activities to improve customer satisfaction and successful achievement of corporate and department quality objectives.
• Facilitate test method development and verification/validation activities for New Product Development programs.
• Identify hazards, mitigate risks associated with hazards and update occurrence ratings in Use and Design FMEA files. Create, maintain, and control the FMEA process and associated files for the Design History.
• Ensure Assurance Engineering support of customer complaint investigations as required.
• Support failure investigations for product failures encountered through product lifecycle
• Facilitates training and education of quality assurance for company requirements.
• Other related tasks as delegated by Department management.
• Provide expertise in the areas of Quality Assurance, Regulatory Compliance, Design Controls, Risk Management, and Statistical Techniques.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the areas of Quality Assurance, Compliance, Design Controls, Risk Management, and Statistical Techniques including company products, policies, and procedures.
• Some travel is required (5-10% of time)
• Lead the development of Risk Management documentation and facilitates updates to Risk Management files through regularly scheduled meetings.

What you bring

• 2+ years’ working knowledge of compliance engineering practices and philosophies at an electronics development and manufacturing company.
• B.S. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of one or more of the following compliances (regulatory, voluntary, customer) areas including standards, requirements, and solutions: - EMC (FCC, IC, IEC, CISPR, CE) - Safety standards (UL, CSA, IEC, CE) – Radio
• Good working knowledge of common compliance-related test equipment, test chambers, and testing practices.
