Join us as we pursue our exciting new vision to make machine data accessible, usable, and valuable to everyone. We are a company filled with people who are passionate about our product and seek to deliver the best experience for our customers. At Splunk, we’re committed to our work, customers, having fun, and, most importantly, each other’s success.
Role:

Working to support internal and external customer needs, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, receive mentorship, and gain insight into our values-driven process. Our goal is to support your growth and development while empowering you for a successful start to your career.
The Cloud Infrastructure team architects and builds auto-scaling platform solutions for hosting Splunk's enterprise software. The teams are fast-paced, high-velocity, using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Golang. The focus is always on automation, where we have a substantial AWS and Kubernetes presence of large-scale containerized systems. This is an incredible opportunity to grow your cloud experience using Golang and Kubernetes to help drive the growth of Splunk Cloud.
Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for

You will get to work with a super smart bunch of folks who are doing state of the art development work in areas of data analytics, infrastructure, and event correlations to build best-in-class business analytics software. You will be interacting with product management and customers to understand detailed requirements. You will also work with other engineering teams across Splunk to design and build high-performance solutions.
- You will actively contribute through participation in agile development of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing, and ongoing support of systems.
- You will design, develop, code, and test software systems, or applications for software improvements and new products.
- Your voice will have an impact through your recommended modifications to processes and procedures, and directly contribute to classic methodologies, architecture, and implementation.
Requirements:
- Able to learn new technologies quickly.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies like Git, Jenkins, Gitlab, AWS, Docker, and GCP is a plus.
- You enjoy collaborating in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in one or more of the following programming languages, including but not limited to Go, C++, and Python.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts, large-scale software architecture, networking and distributed systems, and UNIX/Linux environments.
- Actively pursuing or recently completed (within 12 months) a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of six months of relevant work experience.
- Possess knowledge of software engineering processes, agile framework, tools (e.g.: programming proficiency in a language, preferably Go, C++, Python, etc.), methods, test development, algorithms, and data structure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts is a plus.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices is a plus.
What We Offer You:
- A stable, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
- A constant stream of new things for you to learn and an opportunity for growth and mentorship. We believe in growing engineers through ownership and leadership opportunities. We also believe mentors help both sides of the equation.
- The opportunity to work with a set of extraordinarily versatile and dedicated peers, all the way from engineering and QA to product management and customer support. Splunk flourishes with disruption and diversity.
We value diversity at our company.
