This is an entry level position that is responsible for electrical assembly of components to portable power. Fabricate wiring harness and terminate to components, install and wire up relays, CT’s, controllers, circuit breakers, camlocks, etc
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze schematics and drawings of electrical systems for the purpose of determining the efficiency and safety of the installation
  • Conduct functional and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness and plugs, using ohmmeter, test lights and other electrical testing instruments
  • Participate in meetings, training and seminars as assigned for the purpose of conveying or gathering information required to perform job function
  • Manufacture custom wiring harness to fit equipment
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned
  • Crimp terminal and lugs to wire ends, using hand or machine crimping device
  • Route wires, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components onto generator assembly, such as reconnection board , terminal blocks, controls, buss panels, engine DC, Generator AC , junction terminal boxes, and main control switch panels
  • Connect wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, switches, solenoids, circuit breakers, buss panels and reconnection boards
  • Request equipment and/or supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of the items required to complete necessary jobs
  • Route, comb, twist, tie wrap, and attach wire to terminal points, according to layout, using soldering gun and hand tools
  • Cut wire and or cable to specified lengths and terminate to components
  • Read work orders, wiring diagrams and specifications to determine established assembly methods
  • Coordinate with others for the purpose of completing projects
  • Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of identifying equipment repairs
  • Be able to work in tight areas
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years generator/ electrical experience required.
  • One year Electrical certification from a junior college or trade school;
