Eastern Region SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Eastern Region Sales Representative is an integral member of our team who will report to the President for the US Sales Division. The successful candidate will manage regional accounts throughout the U.S., and provide support to our clients, including property owners, engineers and contractors.

As a SALES REPRESENTATIVE, your main responsibilities are:

  • Liaise with QMC technicians to identify meter issues and assist in problem resolution.
  • Diligently update client accounts in CRM and deploy effective organization strategies.
  • Review existing accounts to identify new sales and growth opportunities.
  • Assist in negotiating and drafting client service agreements.
  • Review client energy and water data to identify anomalies and assist clients in improving building performance and reducing energy and water consumption.
  • Coordinate Reverifications, key load metering and utility meter integrations projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, often across multiple stakeholders within the United States.
  • Assist in the year-end billing reconciliation with key property management groups.
  • Identify and develop new prospects and lead generation.
  • Provide superior customer support and ensure all client requests are professionally handled in a timely manner
  • Maintain and enhance existing relationships with QMC’s key clients and key stakeholders, while managing accounts with large sales volumes.
  • Manage all facets of the client relationship, including contracts, pricing, service levels, issue resolution, relationship building and new product/service proposals
  • Grow revenues and service offerings to existing clients.
  • Conduct site visits with the QMC technical team to help design metering upgrade projects.

You are the ideal SALES REPRESENTATIVE if:

  • Knowledge of green building certifications, such as LEED and BOMA BEST.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field (business, energy management)
  • Resourceful with the capacity to solve problems when all information is not easily accessible.
  • Capability to analyze consumption data to identify anomalies and discrepancies
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
  • Sales experience with 3-5 years of customer service experience.
  • Personable with the ability to interact with a diverse range of personality types and customers (property managers, ops managers, engineers, energy managers, contractors, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be fluent in English
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks with a varying degree of complexity.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software an asset
  • Working knowledge of larger property building systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC infrastructure and/or district energy systems.
  • 1-2 years of property management experience would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel throughout the United States.
  • Highly skilled in a Windows Office environment, knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, a must
