This Opportunity

Takes part in providing local technical assistance for the design, conceptual development, and construction of building projects in the public and private sector. Tasks may include basic assistance with conceptually visualizing projects, preparing drawings, specifications, budgets, and construction documents, and developing and presenting design proposals. Generates accurate and concise drawings, renderings, and documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, structural integrity, and occupancy.

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Early Career Architect for our San Francisco, CA office.

Your Impact

  • Familiarity with building planning, drawing standards, design, and construction management; including restoration and new construction.
  • Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
  • Complete assigned tasks.
  • Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, technology, math principles, graphics, spreadsheets, and tools.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of architectural principles, practices, process, and the application to project work-related issues.
  • Capable creative, visualization, and technical drawing skills.
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
  • Proficient self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
  • Master's degree in Architecture.
  • 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.

Compensation: Expected Salary: $66,600-$93,000 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
  • The successful candidate will have 0-3 years of internship experience in Architecture.
  • Recent graduate or May 2024 Graduate in an accredited Architecture Graduate program.
