Job Summary
The District Manager’s primary role is to source, recruit, hire and develop top talent; whether to fill an immediate opening or to build bench strength. They must be able to evaluate sales results, ask questions that get to the root cause of opportunities, and coach to outcomes. The District Manager drives consistent execution by establishing clear direction and setting expectations, while maintaining a strong Purple culture. The customer experience should be consistent from location to location with strong compliance to Purple processes. The District Manager oversees 4-6 Area Managers and have up to 30 locations. The DM will also have selected Locations / Showroom Managers that report directly to them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, influence, and champion change
• Coach, develop, and maximize the success of Area & Showroom Managers
• Analyze business and plan strategically
• Act as a liaison between the field and Corporate partners
• Assess talent and succession plan
• Drive execution of company initiatives
• Communicate priorities
• Ensure the Purple selling behaviors are demonstrated in every location enabling optimal customer experiences
• Build an inclusive, high performing team
• Attract, identify, and retain top talent
• Ensure consistent execution of visual standards

Required Skills, Education And Experience

• Ability to work periodic evenings & weekends
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with Corporate partners and field peers
• 3-5 years multi-unit management experience
• Proven ability to increase sales & profitability in designated district or region
• Ability to travel 50%-60% of time – visit locations, attend new location openings & meetings
• Proven ability to network, recruit, train, develop and evaluate talent

Preferred Skills, Education And Experience

• Strong communication skills – verbal, non-verbal and written
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

Pay range for this position: $110,000-$120,000
