Distribution Planning Manager Jobs

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Build and edit reports in Power BI to optimize Sell Through and monitor the life cycle of our seasonal products.

Plan and organize end of life product strategies in cooperation with the Retail and Merchandising departments.

Work cross functionally with various departments – Merchandising, Retail, Logistics, Stores –to ensure coordination and availability of products

Optimize the inventory depletion (sales, staff sales, returns & disposal…)

Support ad hoc analysis and projects.

Successful project management experience (initiate, plan, execute, monitor & control, closeout).

Proficient knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and comprehension of client construction standards.

Previous Experience managing engineering personnel

Strong communication skills, written and interpersonal communications skills.

Experience with designing secondary networks.

Experience with software such as PoleForeman, Bentley OpenUtilities Designer, GE Smallworld, Maximo, or similar products.

Responsible for the management of software systems including the training of new personnel where required.

Prefer experience with implementation and operation of modern distribution center.

Assumes indirect responsibility for all associates within the Distribution function.

7 - 10 years management experience within a high-volume distribution center.

Associate degree or minimum of 5 years in distribution management

Strong working knowledge of FedEx, UPS and DHL manifesting systems.

Knowledge of operations of material handling equipment such as sit-down lift trucks, reach trucks and order pickers.

Experience working with national sales and customer service teams

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

·Extensive background working in Materials Management in a hospital or healthcare setting.

·Background in Materials Management preferred

Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of basic project management principles.

Utility Technical Certifications/Training or PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification

Demonstrated to Working knowledge in project related scheduling / cost controls

Developing gating and funding authorization packages

-5+ years experience in Distribution Management

-Experience with managing teams of 25+ (direct and indirect)

-Experience with ERP and WMS systems

Must have prior experience utilizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS), material handling equipment and/or various storage systems  

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field highly preferred

Ability to influence change management and operational performance from areas outside of his/her direct control

Manage multiple Supervisors in a distribution/warehouse environment

Manage inbound and outbound loading and unloading of trucks while maintaining warehouse organization and inventory accuracy

Manage revenue and expenses compared to budget; manage and track key performance indicators (KPIs)

B.S. in Engineering, Chemistry, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.

Candidates with rail distribution experience and logistics management will be given preference

Department Safety and Environmental Action Plans, safety and environmental results, site expertise and support of rail safety management

KPI results and Management Control and Reporting System

Oversight and management of Distribution leadership activities

Drive development of SOPs, Quality Management System and work instructions to improve standardization and quality of work

Negotiate cold storage rates and contractual terms in partnership with corporate Management for our distribution service provider relationships.

Develop, review and manage the Distribution P&L for internal and external warehouses, including quarterly business review of the various warehouse operations.

Collaborates with finance to provide forecast of inventory, inbound and outbound, on weekly/monthly basis

Manages delivery priorities based on delivery date, customer relevance and order type, negotiating with both wholesale and retail sales directors.

Bachelor’s degree in in Logistics, Engineering, Finance or Technology

7 - 10 years management experience within a high-volume distribution center.
