As a Distribution Manager at PPG, you will be part of an exciting team and assist across multiple customer channels to ensure product reaches the accurate facilities in a safe manner.
You will work an onsite schedule and report to the Senior Regional Distribution Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the annual operating budget and maintain good cost control on operating expenses to help exceed SBU financial goals.
- Responsible for oversight and managerial control of a large distribution center.
- Maintenance and upkeep of the facility and works with the facility property owner to address deficiencies in building and grounds.
- Maintain daily contacts with centralized customer service (in establishing customer priorities and communicating potential customer outages), inventory control (for stock-outs, new product launches) and third-party transportation providers (to meet delivery schedules and manage carrier capacity).
- Responsible for the safe operation of the facility, including compliance with PPG and governmental policies on EH&S Management Systems, OSHA, EPA, and DOT compliance.
- Prepare capital spending plans and requests.
- Will work with customers across all channels (Company Stores, independent dealers). In addition to customers, may handle direct to truck shipments from associated production facilities to other network warehouses.
- Lead all aspects and activities across all shifts.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of proven experience in distribution, production, logistics, operations planning or facility management and management.
- Proficient in SAP and PowerBI a plus!
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience required.
Salary Range: $77,000 to $143,000 DOE
