Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Distribution Manager to lead the overall day to day operation of the Lithia Springs, GA, Distribution Center. The position is responsible for talent acquisition, training, scheduling and ensuring a safe work environment.
Your Shift:
  • Monday through Friday; some weekends and off-shifts, as volume and service needs dictate 5x10 operation
Your Responsibilities:
  • Process and people oriented
  • Ensure a safe work environment
  • Adhere to established warehouse policies and practices
  • Track and report key performance metrics as part of a Visual Business Operating System
  • Managing the day to day operations of a distribution center
  • Delivering productivity improvements in a LEAN culture.
  • Responsible for controlling expenses, inventory control and loss prevention
  • Oversee hiring, training and maintaining employee relations
  • Develops departmental budget and control costs
  • Ensures on time shipment for B-to-B enterprise customers
  • Floor leadership, employee engagement, customer satisfaction
You Must Have:
  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and utilizing bar code scanners desired.
  • Inventory control experience
  • Knowledge of operations of material handling equipment such as sit-down lift trucks, reach trucks and order pickers.
  • Strong working knowledge of FedEx, UPS and DHL manifesting systems.
  • Documented work history of increasing responsibility
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Associate degree or minimum of 5 years in distribution management
We Would Also Prefer:
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM system
  • Experience working with national sales and customer service teams
