Training and Development Director (Remote)
Trajector has an exciting opportunity for a Training and Development Director. We are on the hunt for a leader who will be able to join a fast-paced organization with a heart for people and a passion for development. The Training and Development Director will be responsible for improving the productivity of the organization and team members. This position will assess company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions. The incumbent will actively search, creatively design, and implement effective methods to educate and enhance performance. Leadership development programs, corporation wide compliance, leading change management, and cultural awareness programs will be at the forefront of the agenda. In this role, you should be passionate about helping people learn and grow. Excellent communication skills are essential. If you also have experience designing e-learning courses and managing budgets, we’d like to meet you. This remote position has the responsibility of building out the training team and reports to the Chief Human Resource Officer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff
- Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
- Obtains and/or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media
- Designs companywide training and development programs and objectives from compliance, supervisor 101 to leadership programs
- Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
- Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events
- Create and execute learning strategies and programs along with managing e-Learning platforms
- Responsible for leading change management initiatives and cultural transformation efforts
- Track budgets and negotiate contracts
- Assesses Training and Development staff’s skills, talents, performance, and productivity
- Help managers develop their team members through career pathing
- Works with cross-functional HR team to develop and maintain organizational communications to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources
- Conducts assessments of the organization’s training and development programs and strategies and modifies as needed
- Trains and educates managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts
- Works with HR Team to facilitate new hire orientation training
- Hire and oversee training, L&D Specialists, instructional designers who create and delivery training
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and coaching skills
- Be a prompt decision maker, a strategic and creative thinker, have excellent problem-solving skills, have a positive and easy-going attitude, demonstrate strong work ethic and integrity, and demonstrate calmness and composure in times of uncertainty.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
- 10-15 years’ experience designing and implementing training development programs
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred
- Must possess strong analytical skills as well as a demonstrated passion for research, data analysis, and the insights that are derived from it.
- Master’s degree in Training & Development, Education, Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or any other related field; an equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- Adept with a variety of multimedia e-learning training platforms and methods
- Minimum internet speed of 10 Download/5 Upload
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, and executive team
- Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
