Supply Chain & Logistics Analyst

Perform industry, competitor and customer research to identify trends, opportunities and threats

Analyze performance of SC by preparing reports for SC Leadership on a regular and ad hoc basis

Conducts distribution and network studies to maximize operational efficiencies and create best-in-class practices

Assists in the development of logistics plans for production, distribution, and storage of goods

Participate in interview/research to determine stakeholder business needs and translate into best-in-class ERP/MRP requirement

Apply advanced analysis skills in the development of business process models, procedures, and systems.

Lead and/or participate in teams to continually look at process improvement strategies for business processes and systems

Act as subject matter expert to provide business requirements for process improvements and system enhancements

Develop presentations of materials, models, findings, plans, and/or recommendations

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing, operations, Industrial engineering, supply chain, logistics, Business or engineering, or equivalent experience

2+ years’ experience analyzing problems and providing solutions; data and statistical analysis experience preferred

Strong business knowledge and experience in Supply Chain & Logistics fundamentals

Must have experience in ERP/MRP (Oracle, SAP, Great Plains, Lawson, etc.) methodology, strategy, and system integration

Must have Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and data query skills (Brio, Hyperion, Cognos, etc.)

Aptitude to analyze discrete data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce the operating costs of the current and future VSP Supply Chain (SC) network

Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle many different responsibilities with detail, in a dynamic team environment

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, good negotiation skills, strong problem-solving skills, facilitation, project management, and the ability to complete projects independently or collaboratively
