SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS ANALYST

SHIFT: 8am-5pm Monday - Friday with some weekend support for system upgrades

LOCATION: Capital Region Medical Center; Jefferson City, Missouri

SALARY RANGE: $59,322 - $96,762 annually

BASIC FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITY

The Supply Chain Systems Analyst will manage and monitor all software applications and related interfaces in support of MU Health Care business applications. Work closely with a large, diverse user base in a medical/business setting to define systems requirements and develop and test application functionality. Provide end-user support in accordance with high standards of customer service. Comply with policies for change control, security, and patient confidentiality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Investigate current processes and end-user needs. Investigate, analyze, and resolve department problems or inquiries regarding the use of systems, availability of equipment and software, feasibility of requests, and approach to problems or projects. Inform senior managers and administrators of technological requirements, goals and objectives, and industry trends.

Develop detailed documentation of current operations/processes and operating and technical requirements of technologies being considered as part of redesign efforts. Illustrate the flow of information and work processes in existing and proposed applications by adhering to appropriate charting conventions used by the operating unit, industry, and service/technology providers.

Analyze processes and build inventory items. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed. Validate and upload contract price lists provided by suppliers to update items within the Supply Chain item master.

Provide revenue management and accounts payable support on inventory discrepancies. Analyze, correct, and credit departmental charges for inventory transactions with journal entries back to the department.

Coordinate the acquisition or creation of end-user training material for developed processes and support applications. Conduct new, ongoing training sessions and refresher courses for newly hired and current end users, in the use of business systems, hardware, application interface, and user tools.

Monitor multiple projects, including planning and implementing new computer equipment, sites, and services. Assess adherence to established timelines, unforeseen issues, and need for modifications to initial process design or support systems, providing regular status updates to all stakeholders.

May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to quickly assimilate and document methodologies, design improved processes, and execute work assignments independently.

Ability to understand strategic concepts and matters, manage details, troubleshoot, and resolve unforeseen issues.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, sufficient to elicit information technology (IT) information from users, train users in technical procedures and design, and document IT-related procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Qualifications


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.

Three (3) years of supply chain informatics experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Five (5) years of supply chain informatics experience.

Infor Enterprise Resource Planning and/or Peoplesoft Enterprise Resource Planning experience.

Experience in a hospital setting.

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
