About The Role
As the Director of Supply Chain Operations, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the supply chain activities for our organization. Your responsibilities will include identifying and implementing savings projects, ensuring contract compliance, driving supply chain excellence, and improving overall supply chain results. You will lead and mentor a team of professionals, including hospital directors and procurement experts, to deliver exceptional results and build valuable skills and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and implement supply expense initiatives, best practices, and corporate contracting strategies to drive contract compliance.
Analyze supply chain metrics, track initiative savings, and provide valuable insights for continuous improvement.
Manage and maintain content within MMIS systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Collaborate closely with strategic sourcing teams and GPO partners to advance savings programs.
Support cost savings objectives and implement best practices to achieve budgeted procurement and productivity initiatives.
Oversee facility material management operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective workflows.
Participate in QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) and manage key procurement vendors.
Implement and utilize a Supply Management Action and Response Team to drive results.
Train and mentor market directors of procurement and DMMs on concepts, policies, best practices, and procedures.
Drive savings and enhance financial performance through negotiation, process improvements, and strategy recommendations.
Foster strong relationships with group-level leadership and facilitate effective communication between home office, facilities, and leadership teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, supply chain, or a related business field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in healthcare, finance, or supply chain.
Advanced knowledge and experience in managing supply chain operations, including contracting, sourcing, value analysis, MMIS/EDI, and vendor negotiations/relations.
Proficiency in database management, MMIS/ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities.
Excellent Organizational Skills, Prioritization Abilities, And Flexibility.
