If you are a Director, Global Supply Chain Performance professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Stafford, TX location, you will lead programs to improve the Performance and Resilience of the Pressure Management. Supply Chain while leading the New Product Development (NPD) supply chain design team to implement optimal supply chains that support successful NPD time to market and on-going production. This position will report to the VP of Global Supply Chain and is responsible for identifying and managing short and long-term supply chain strategies, to improve lead-time, on-time, multi-sourcing, supplier risk mitigation plans, and lean supplier programs. The purpose of this role is to “Improve the ability of the Supply Chain to rapidly adapt to market and environmental changes in productive and cost-effective ways.”
AS A DIRECTOR, GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN PERFORMANCE, YOU WILL:
- Create and coordinate the execution of the supply chain disaster recovery plan for the organization to be ready for future supply chain impacts.
- Direct activities of supplier performance teams and NPD supply chain resources globally while setting priorities and evaluating team effectiveness.
- Manage NPD supply chain team projects to completion by working closely with design engineers, marketing, other supply chain team members, quality assurance and materials as well as external suppliers.
- Utilize Pressure Management cross-functional NPD Phase-Gate procedure to optimize Supply Chain Design.
- Travel to suppliers and internal manufacturing facilities to review facility capabilities, quality systems and facilitate lean reviews.
- Manage multifaceted global projects requiring coordination to drive improvements in supply chain lead-time, on-time delivery, risk mitigation and lean principles.
- Develop and manage global Supply Chain for new technologies such as Additive manufacturing to include Laser-Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) and Binder Jet Mold utilization.
- Expand supply chain strategies that diversify the supply base to mitigate risk posed by natural disasters, geo-political disruptions, cyber-security breaches, pandemics, and financial disruptions.
- Manage global tooling database to track and manage Emerson-owned assets located at suppliers while assuring that tooling is properly managed and ready for production and disaster recovery.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with suppliers and all levels of staff throughout the organization
- Thorough understanding of the business & personal ethics associated with the Supplier Management processes
- Ability to travel 30% of the time globally
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- In-depth knowledge of generally accepted purchasing practices, contract negotiations, & purchasing-related laws and regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent field.
- 10 years or more of supply chain or operations experience in a manufacturing environment
