POSITION SNAPSHOT:

Supply Chain/Business Analyst will oversee the company’s supply chains, ensuring timely delivery, in stock on key products and keeping the company on budget. They will improve the efficiency of supply chain and reduce costs through data collection and analysis. The position requires excellent attention to detail, in-depth understanding of cost and commodity projections and have exceptional analytics skills. They use interpersonal and problem-solving skills to gather information from different software tools and departments to recommend ways of improving the supply chain.

You will be an outstanding Supply Chain/Business Analyst if…

Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data

Research and seek out the most cost-efficient delivery/shipment procedures and methods.

Review and analyze gathered data to locate weak areas in the supply chain process and develop methods to improve.

Plan and implement supply chain/Business optimization projects/software such as Arrowstream Supply Chain Technology, FoodLogiQ software, pricing contract management.

Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions.

Manage pricing contracts to ensure compliance of negotiated pricing through all Supply Chain purchase channels.

Resourcefulness and ability to devise creative solutions to problems.

Maintain a professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives.

Seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes.

Day in the life…

Cost savings/rebates compliance, tracking and reporting.

Arrow Stream reporting, verification of contracted prices through broadline and smallware's distributors

Proactively identify risks through daily distributor inventory updates & predictive analytics

Product categories spend analysis through SKU rationalization, off contracted spend, and new contracting opportunities

Support Category Managers with integrated data to align volumes, available suppliers, in preparation for RFP/RFI

Commodity reporting, market changes that impact monthly pricing

Assist with menu costing and analysis

GPO cost and volume allowance verification and reporting

GPO contracted item list review and recommendations

Education, Experience, Required Skills:

4-year college degree or equivalent in in supply chain management, logistics, business management or related fields

Experience analyzing and improving supply chain data, information, and processes.

Supply Chain Management certification is not necessary though preferred.

Previous Experience With Supply Chain Processes Strongly Preferred.

Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes/software

Professional communication skills are essential when conversing and negotiating with vendors

Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenge and needs to be addressed

Ability to research companies and determine the best vendors to reach out to for various project/products

Experience working to improve all aspects of the supply chain by streamlining steps and locating the best prices for inventory.
