• Solid foundation in global purchasing accompanied by manufacturing experience as materials manager or other supply chain leadership experience
• Experience in the electronics PCBA market
• Must have advanced computer skills. Technically proficient in Excel and ERP systems (Infor Syteline)

Responsibilities::-

• Maximize cash flow related to purchasing activities, inventory and days outstanding management
• Monthly reporting activities include analysis of monthly purchase price variances, KPI’s, cost improvement projects, inventory activity reports, and accurate dollar spend activity
• Influence engineering teams for NPI development strategy and implementation
• Organize, communicate, and lead strategies for the electronics commodity that focus on driving value improvements throughout the supply chain with an emphasis on cost and quality improvements, lead-time reductions, payment term extensions, and supplier service in product development, as well as on-time delivery performance
• Work in partnership with engineering teams to develop an approved and qualified supply base, develop strategic partnerships that address our needs, and on an ongoing basis, continuously improve supplier performance
• Maintain leading-edge, electronic market knowledge and analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect the continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities
• Proactive explore new programs for continuous improvements in material and process changes to achieve the best quality, reliability, pricing and delivery from suppliers
• While leveraging the electronic and PCBA spending to develop a robust sourcing strategy that focuses on continuity of supply while optimizing cost and service.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with key vendors
• The Director of Strategic Sourcing provides guidance and leadership to our team of Procurement Specialists in two locations responsible for sourcing related activities for electronic parts, PCBA, and board component purchases,
• Responsible for sourcing all types of electronic parts that include: PCBA, and all components included in the bill of material of the PCBA’s, as well as but not limited to, power supplies, cables and complex electro/mechanical assemblies
• Cultivate and foster relationships with supplies to ensure attainment of organization objectives
• Arranges for sale and/or disposal of excess and obsolete inventory
• Collects and formulates supply chain data, advising Executive Management of potential problem areas and provide suggestions for corrective action
• Partner with cross-functional teams (i.e. PM, engineering, quality, logistics, etc.) to continuously improve overall system-level landed cost.
