My client is a high end, five star hotel group that is now looking for a Managing Director to oversee their entire supply chain and logistics department. Reporting into the Board of Execs, this is a huge role for them overseeing a very large logistics department with multiple moving parts.

Key Responsibilities;

• Forecasting requirements and ordering products to meet demands
• Develops systems to manage real-time inventories
• Liaising and managing a variety of suppliers
• Overseeing the entire department with over 100 staff members
• Responsible for supply chain strategy in partnership with cross-functional leaders
• Build and manage relationships with critical external stakeholders to advance impact and issues management, as appropriate

Key Requirements;

• Excellent negotiation skills
• Experience sourcing and working in various geographic markets
• Analytical, problem solving, time management, project management and decision-making skills
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results
• Extensive experience in supply chain, ideally within hospitality
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, tactical and communications skills
• International logistics experience will be highly regarded
• Experience with Oracle
