Funko is a purveyor of pop culture and licensed-focused collectibles company located in Everett, WA. Funko currently holds hundreds of licenses and the rights to create tens of thousands of characters – one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. Funko’s Pop! Vinyl is the number one stylized vinyl collectible on the market, selling millions of figures to fans around the world.

The Director of Sales for LATAM will oversee the management of the whole region and Sales team for LATAM – in partnership with the Territory Sales Managers for their respective markets, key responsibilities will include teaming up effectively with distributors on the ground; managing national accounts; overseeing operational distribution for major retail partners; and coordinating a range of marketing efforts.

This role involves some travel. The Director of Sales, LATAM is likely to head into the region roughly 5 times a year. When you go, you’ll be representing products with truly international appeal – Funko’s +1000 product licenses include clothing and other consumer products representing characters from Disney, Star Wars, DC Comics, and Marvel. The candidate for this role must be bilingual in Spanish and English, being able to speak and write in both languages fluently.

Our environment is very fast-paced, and requires someone who is highly enthusiastic, flexible, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with multiple teams in a very ambiguous area.

Your Superpowers in Action
  • Support national events and trade shows
  • Partner in the organization and execution of Funko’s portfolio of client-level campaigns from conception, evaluation, target definition and creative content specification to coordination of all aspects of execution
  • Analyze market trends and client needs for the development and performance of sales activities in the region
  • Briefing and coordination of creative content creation for campaigns and promotional activities with key accounts
  • Manage the portfolio of accounts across the region with an annual revenue turnover of $100M+
  • Actively participate in the sales cycle to bring leadership and strategic support to large deals
  • Forecasting activity to ensure appropriate inventory levels and recurring monthly revenue achievement
  • Establish sales targets, designing and implementing sales strategies to meet the targets and mapping the accounts to identify new opportunities
  • Coach and develop the Sales Team to be best in class
  • Define distribution and retail strategy to support commercial development with retail partners

Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while maintaining attention to details
  • Experience with ERP or CRM systems preferred (MS Dynamics NAV, Oracle)
  • Bilingual in Spanish/Portuguese/English in both written and verbal communication. Spanish/English is required, and Portuguese is preferred.
  • Knowledge of collectible/toy/CPG industry and customer trends
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Sales Leadership role with direct reports, preferably for a consumer product company selling direct to large, national retailers in LATAM regions
  • Up to 20% travel required
  • Out of the box thinker; creative and strategic mindset
  • Able to move quickly and adapt to changing priorities in a fast -paced environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Proven account management or another relevant sales experience
  • A breadth of knowledge of POP culture.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • Highly organized and efficient time management skills

Compensation & Benefits
Funko offers a competitive compensation package with full benefits and a 401(K) plan with matching contributions from the company. The starting base salary range for this position in the selected city is $131,250 - $175,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role is eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives.
