Job Description

⚡Role: Director of Project Development

💼Industry: Renewable Energy (Solar)

🌎Location: Hybrid, New York


A leading clean energy company is seeking an experienced Director of Project Development to join their team. As a Director of Project Development, you will be responsible for leading the development of large-scale renewable energy projects, from conception to construction.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, financiers, regulators, and community organizations
  • Strong understanding of project financing, including tax equity, debt financing, and project partnerships
  • At least 10 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a track record of success in leading large-scale projects
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred


What you bring

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, utilities, and community organizations
  • Oversee project financing, including securing project funding and managing financial risks
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Identify new project opportunities and develop business plans and proposals
  • Lead the project development process, including permitting, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement
  • Collaborate with engineers, financiers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules
