- Director Of Sales
About the hotel: The Hilton Garden Inn, Wooster hotel is located near the College of Wooster and downtown Wooster. The hotel's location offers both relaxation and tranquility with modern entertainment facilities and cultural attractions.
Your Responsibilities
The Director of Sales is responsible for directing, coordinating all sales-related activities, including direct sales efforts and marketing, follow-up, and proper sales administration. The Director of Sales is responsible for developing and growing existing accounts and generating new business to ensure that room revenues meet or exceed budget in order to maximize revenues and profits while maintaining guest/client satisfaction.
Essential Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
  • Effectively develop relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base
  • Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintains detailed account files and trace systems
  • Completes weekly sales call reports to be turned in to the GM and Corporate office
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers
  • Basic software knowledge (Windows, Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.)
  • Creates customer correspondence as required (sales agreements, proposals, etc)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of revenue management and hotel sales
  • Strong sales and leadership skills
  • Conducts hotel tours and site inspections for potential customers
  • Ability to understand, execute and support brand standards
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to maximize revenue
  • Achieves sales goals as outlined by the General Manager / Regional Manager
  • Responsible for third party requests such as Hotel Planner and Brand RFP's
  • Excellent written, verbal and telephone sales skills
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Responsible for development and execution of action plan outlining planned sales activities
  • Exceptional attention to details, deadlines and persistent follow up skills
