As the Director of Sales, your role will be pivotal in driving our sales strategy and establishing our position as the preferred supplier of ceramic media in these sectors.

Position Summary


As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading our sales team and developing a robust sales plan to penetrate the target markets. Your expertise in the industry will enable you to identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and expand our customer base. By cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders in the foundry metal casting industry, you will drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.


Key Roles/Responsibilities


  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers to enhance our brand reputation and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and generate reports to evaluate sales effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and make informed business decisions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, targeting potential clients and markets to expand our customer base.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to drive continuous product improvement and market relevance.
  • An awareness and understanding of foundry various casting processes, cold box, no-bake, green sand, lost foam, shell, v-process, investment, 3D print, etc.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to showcase our ceramic media solutions and network with potential clients.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to achieve sales objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with our marketing team to develop impactful sales collateral, promotional campaigns, and market-specific initiatives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to promote our ceramic media products in the foundry industry.


Required Education, Experience, And Qualifications


  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, negotiate contracts, and build strategic alliances.
  • Results-oriented approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably within the ceramic media or foundry industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Willingness to travel frequently to meet with clients, attend industry events, and explore new market opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the market dynamics, customer needs, and industry standards related to ceramic media and its applications.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and formulate actionable strategies.


Working Conditions


  • Moves throughout the building to access files.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
  • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.
