JOB DESCRIPTION
The Director of Sales - Grocery will be responsible for developing and executing the Grocery channel strategy and building and developing relationships and business with key national distributors and large regional key accounts within the Grocery space. This person will drive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sales results and growth ambitions, while also developing relationships with customers and focus on joint business planning. The position will require a dynamic, entrepreneurial, creative, and transformational mindset to drive the strategy for this accelerating business.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Responsible for development and implementation of short and long-term strategic growth plans driving and growing REV’s share in the Gum and front-end categories.
- Own all aspects of broker management to ensure sales brokers understand the brand, the product, the sales strategy, the promotion strategy, and are able to execute with our retailers accordingly
- Work cross-functionally to Implement in-store customer marketing plans that align with overall growth strategy and lead to positive ROI
- Responsible for all aspects of account management, including driving sales, managing line reviews and customer deadlines, managing forecasting, and implementing/managing a trade budget
- Identify and lobby internally for key enablers to facilitate account growth (new product development, differentiated assortment, etc)
- Attack and develop whitespace within the Grocery channel
- Work with distributors to ensure execution at both the HQ and downstream retailers, including developing programs for displays, rebates, and other incentive programs.
- Adhere to and promote the REV culture of Know/Care/Challenge
This role can develop into a larger leadership role with a built-out team and direct reports as REV further grows over the next 12-18 months.
Who we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• CPG sales experience is ideal but not required - we want someone who’s fired up and ready to go.
• Strong communication skills.
• Confident and outgoing.
• Entrepreneurial: someone who approaches their role like a business owner
• Able to multi-task and manage a robust matrix of accounts, distributors, brokers, etc..
• Strong attention to detail.
• Highly motivated to be a valuable contributor to a fast-moving team
