Grinder Jobs

Requiring a strong attention to detail and desire to ensure products retain the highest quality standards for our clients, the Grinder operates grinding and buffing machines to provide finished parts per engineering specifications. The Grinder works collaboratively with other internal stakeholders and utilizes their hands on knowledge to ensure the finishing touches are completed.

• Uses a buffing wheel to buff out and finish parts.
• Mounts parts and operates a lathe to turn parts while applying abrasives to finish.
• Stop any machine upon discovery of a problem and make necessary adjustments or ask for assistance, to minimize downtime.
• Sets up and adjusts grinding equipment for various lengths and diameters.
• Uses various pneumatic Die grinders to finish and blend welds.
• Selects appropriate abrasives for proper ID and OD grinding.
• Inspects product to ensure they remain compliant with specifications.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to read schematics and/or blueprints.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure.
• Attention to detail.
• High school diploma and 2-5 years’ experience as a grinder or similar job required.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with Hand and Power tools preferred.
