Job Description
DIME Beauty is looking for a Director of People to join our young, innovative, and quickly growing company! The Director of People will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (People) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This person will also be the direct supervisor of the Office Manager, working with them to carry out exciting company culture initiatives and ensuring the daily operations of the office are running smoothly. The Director of People will report directly to the CFO.


Responsibilities:


  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand the needs of our fast-growing and innovative organization and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy
  • Oversees all aspects of human resources for the company
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees, specifically leadership development


Requirements:


  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification (preferred)
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years of human resource management experience (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality


Location:


  • Draper, UT (Onsite - local candidates preferred)


Pay:


  • Target range is $90,000-$110,000/year
  • Open to discussion dependent on experience
