Director of Organizational Effectiveness, Human Resources

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Head, Organizational Effectiveness & Change Management leads the initiatives supporting the business via Human Resources & organizational design initiatives across Airgas. The Head of the OE&C COE offers effective internal consulting, develops and implements cutting-edge initiatives and interventions to meet the strategic and cultural goals in order to drive business results. This includes leading and participating in cross-functional teams to: diagnose organization effectiveness issues, collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data as part of that analysis, generate human capital recommendations to address performance gaps and build required capability, and craft high impact implementation plans.

This role provides organization effectiveness and change management competency, tools, and plans, working hand-in-hand in partnership with the COE Leads, HRBPs, HR Controller, and business leaders to ensure the delivery of consistent processes, programs and frameworks in interventions, initiatives and programs wherever possible to help shape the culture. Leads, coordinates, and supports organization improvement initiatives, enhances organizational consistency across entities, and develops organization and change management competencies within the HR function. Typical projects involve organization performance and workforce diagnosis, program management, change management, re-designing department organization structures and effective management process, job design, and goals/KPI scorecard design.

This is strategic individual contributor role, reporting to the Senior VP of Human Resources. This person will be ideally be based in our corporate offices in Radnor, PA, but open to candidates in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Eastern Midwest areas. There is hybrid workplace flexibility.

In particular, you will focus on:

· Organizational Development Intelligence

o Create and develop his/ her network of counterparts in Airgas/ AL and perform regular benchmarks

o Monitor, analyze and report 1) the new OD/Change Management approaches that can bring value to Airgas and Air Liquide; 2) why and how companies similar to Airgas perform organizational change.

· Organizational Effectiveness Improvement

o Propose guidelines, methods and tools in terms of 1) organizational design, aligned with Airgas and Group strategy: structures, layers, spans of control; 2) mergers and acquisitions/ divestitures; 3) change management; 4) strategic workforce planning

o Propose and implement methods and KPIs to assess organizational performance

· Support to Customers

o Assist business units and functions in their transformation

o Perform and share strategy, tools, actions

o Advise HR colleagues/ business leaders

o Monitor the work and propose the referencing of external OD trends, practices, consultants (as necessary)

· Development of organizational effectiveness & change management

o Build the competency and network within the HRBPs and change managers of Airgas

o In coordination with AL, create OD and change management programs / events

· Maintain a dashboard reporting for all levels in the business (KPIs).

· Drive and guide the selection of the appropriate interventions which can result in the highest impact across Airgas and Human Resources (eg. HR Transformation, COE, HRBP and HR Operations efficiencies and effectiveness)

· Inform & support senior-level development related activity & solutions

· Other duties as assigned.

Are you a MATCH?

· Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or related degree field required; Master's degree, HR, I/O Psychology, or related business field is preferred.

· 7+ years of experience in Organizational Effectiveness and HR Business Partnership with emphasis in change management, team effectiveness and organization design; experience in managing elements of consulting groups internal or external, including needs analysis, development of service offerings, oversight of project effectiveness, and client relationship management; experience in leading a staff in shared partnership/matrixed environment.

· Ability to align organization, division & department initiatives in partnership with Senior Leadership and Talent Management/Development to create and implement a vision of culture change in a systematic way

· Lead global implementation of change initiatives

· In-depth experience and technical strength in project management, vendor negotiation and cost containment

· Demonstrated experience working with senior management, including C-suite

· Outstanding service orientation; sense of urgency; high-level of personal integrity

· Ability to work well under pressure and flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, conflicting priorities between client work and program development in a fast-paced environment

· Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position’s responsibilities.
