Job Description
Bally Sports’ mission is to build a transformative, participatory sports platform, anchored by the

We are looking for a marketing and growth executive to oversee the paid media efforts for Bally
Sports+. As the Director of Media, reporting to the VP of Growth, you will be responsible for creating
and executing multi-channel brand and acquisition strategies that drive awareness of Bally Sports+
and attract new subscribers.The right person for this role combines a strategic mindset with
analytical chops, creative sensibility, and an in-depth understanding of the media landscape
What you’ll do:
  • Partner across marketing to develop innovative and profitable promotions / trial strategies including targeting, offers, cadence and frequency.
  • Improve return-on-ad-spend (ROAS) across channels and tactics through campaign optimization and media mix allocation with an emphasis on lifetime value.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in media and evangelize data-driven media best practices throughout the organization.
  • Develop an experimentation roadmap focused on improving media’s effectiveness and the incremental outcomes of our investment.
  • Lead day-to-day partnership with external media agencies and help them to tie strategy and execution back to business objectives like brand awareness and subscriber acquisition.
  • Drive strategic recommendations for media investment and channel allocation, detailing recommended tactics and budgets to drive optimal growth.
  • Partner with internal and external analytics teams to improve reporting capabilities / marketing dashboards and develop an understanding of related metrics (e.g. LTV, churn, etc.)
  • Ensure pricing, offers, messaging and creative are effective and consistent across acquisition touchpoints.
  • Build, lead, and mentor the team responsible for driving awareness and subscriber growth across paid media channels.
  • Create innovative multi-channel media strategies and campaigns via strong collaboration with Brand, Growth, Product, MarTech, and Data & Analytics.
  • Translate brand strategy into robust media plans that have a measurable impact of awareness goals.
What to bring:
  • Expertise in digital media planning and buying with significant focus on biddable platforms (social, programmatic DSPs, search, etc)
  • Experience with media experimentation and incrementality measurement is preferred
  • Success in leading paid media strategies for a prominent DTC brand/ SVOD platform preferred
  • Adept at liaising with multiple stakeholders and thrive in matrixed environments
  • Experience balancing multiple business objectives, such as brand awareness and customer acquisition
  • Passionate and excited about the work while realizing work isn’t life. Have fun, be cool, work hard.
  • Experience with traditional media (OOH, TV, Radio) preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Successfully built, scaled, and led high performing paid media teams, specifically for a digital brand
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to effectively turn reporting and analysis in to insights and strategies
  • Point of view and interest in new developments within the sports industry
The base salary compensation range for this role is $170,000 to $200,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, quarterly and annual incentive plan bonuses, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
