The Director of Digital Strategy and Social Media is vital to expanding the online presence and engagement of Marcellus Wiley's diverse portfolio, which includes celebrated entities like Never Shut Up TV Show, More To It Podcast, and more. The role is centered around creating a compelling digital narrative, producing engaging content, safeguarding brand consistency across platforms, overseeing the digital workflow, and driving key metrics and strategic digital objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide member support and distribute links to winners.
- Source short-form clips each weekday from Apex for distribution across all social media platforms.
- Collaboration: Engage with Marcellus Wiley and affiliated brands on a daily basis to conceptualize and disseminate content.
- Team Leadership: Collaborate closely with Marcellus Wiley and associated brands to foster an environment of digital innovation and growth.
- Create and send a topics list with relevant links daily.
- Workflow Management:
- Generate a minimum of 4 posts daily: 3 for the main page and 1 for Project Transition.
- Trend Analysis: Remain updated with the latest digital innovations and implement strategies to promote brand growth.
- Ad Campaigns: Strategize and oversee ad campaigns to ensure a maximized return on investment.
- Crisis Management: Tactfully address and manage any digital PR challenges to uphold brand integrity.
- Capture and compile notable comments.
- Analytics: Utilize digital metrics to refine content strategy, ensuring alignment with goals related to audience engagement and growth.
- Strategy & Planning: Develop a unified digital and social media strategy that mirrors Marcellus Wiley's brand identity, overarching goals, and target audience.
- Receive, schedule, and post video clips to YouTube at the predetermined time.
- Content Creation: Lead content strategy and production across various digital platforms, such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and beyond.
- Workflow Deliverables (Including, but not limited to):
- Community Management: Actively engage, respond, and cultivate the brand's online community to maintain a positive brand image.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a similar field.
- Proficiency with major digital platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.
- At least 5 years of experience in a comparable digital/social media role.
- Mastery of digital analytics tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A talent for creating vibrant content for a broad audience.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a spirit of collaboration.
Preferred:
- A strong online personal brand presence.
- Prior exposure to the sports, entertainment, or podcast sector.
- Expertise in video production and graphic design.
- Los Angeles based
Compensation:
- Monthly compensation ranging between $2,000 - $5,000
Benefits:
