Job Description

Robert Half is seeking a Director, Social Media to lead our organic social media strategy and impact. This experienced individual should be well versed in leading a team of managers and specialists, understand critical trends and best practices, and be fearlessly creative in building and retaining a social media audience. This position reports to the Senior Director, Content Strategy within the corporate communications organization.


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Directly oversee hiring and budget needs for the social media team
  • Establish, oversee and execute strategy across a full spectrum of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram, as well as the company’s employee advocacy program; drive the company’s expansion into new and emerging platforms as necessary
  • Create unique social media content and campaigns that builds brand affinity and sparks engagement with our thought leadership, company accolades, and other marketing promotions and lead generating initiatives
  • Collaborate cross functionally within corporate communications and across peer organizations, including brand, business communications, customer experience, IT, public relations, marketing, sales enablement, events and diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Collaborate with HR, brand and communications stakeholders to develop and implement employer branding-focused best practices and content to promote Robert Half to prospective hires
  • Optimize return on investment of our current social media solutions and use of industry platforms
  • Oversee the seamless execution of all functions of organic social: content creation, community management, analytics, best practices, and social listening Lead and develop a best-in-class team of social media managers and specialists Cultivate relationships with our internal social media teams outside of the U.S.; develop a framework to share content, learnings, and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Self-starter who owns his/her own success metrics and is self-motivated
  • Knowledge of B2B marketing is preferred
  • 10+ years of digital marketing/communications experience with 7+ years directing and managing social media teams and strategy for enterprise-sized organizations
  • Excellent judgment, communication and creative thinking skills, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
  • A highly collaborative person with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Experience developing ambassador programs or community-building efforts either using social media or other platforms
  • Experience implementing and administering enterprise-class social media management platforms
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or a related field


The typical salary range for this position is $157,000 to $205,000. The salary is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
