Are you a visionary marketer with a passion for making a positive impact? The Boy Scouts of America’s National Headquarters is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Marketing and Brand to lead the charge in promoting and advancing our organization’s mission, programs, and initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with key stakeholders to identify and reinforce strategies increasing membership and participation across audience segments while leading the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies that promote and advance the organization’s mission, programs, and initiatives using market intelligence, social and digital media, field-level partnerships, communications, and promotion.
Responsibilities
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
- Manages and coaches staff and works with volunteers and key stakeholders across the BSA.
- Supports local council marketing.
- Fosters partnership and collaboration with cross-functional groups, and partners inside and outside the organization and with local councils.
- Maintains consistency across communications and field-level member development activities for better effectiveness and continuity.
- Supports efforts recruitment and retention of youth and volunteers.
- Manages budget.
- Leads national branding, campaigns, and messaging across all Scouting segments including multicultural markets.
- Identifies strategies and leads campaign development that drives revenue and participation.
Job Competencies:
- Ability: Strong aptitude for building trust, energizing organizations, maintaining customer focus, and influencing stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in social and digital media, branding, and marketing strategies.
- Skills: Proven ability to take initiative, drive results, build customer loyalty, and guide teams toward success.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or related field from an accredited college or university.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8 years in marketing, brand development, or a related field, showcasing your expertise and proven track record.
- *Any work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above-specified education and experience requirements.
- Must pass a criminal history background check.
