Director of Accounting

This is a new position being created in the Tampa, FL office that will report to and work closely with to support the company’s founder and CEO in the expansion of MARSAL WELL as well as assuming the financial management of the CEO’s other business entities. The role requires assuming responsibility for all financial, accounting, and administrative duties necessary to support the business entities including but not limited to providing financial expertise in business planning, execution and managing to the plans, maintaining all aspects of the accounting system, budgeting, forecasting, and scheduled monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting.

Job Duties

• Responsible for all payroll and management of employee benefits
• Responsible for accurate maintenance of all financial records.
• Adhere to internal controls, accounting policies and procedures, and in accordance with GAAP accounting rules.
• Responsible for all bank operations including maintaining good effective business relationships with our external banking account personnel.
• Provide analytical recommendations to improve business operations such as operational efficiencies and identification of cost savings.
• Manage financial aspects of business partners such as vendors and suppliers.
• Create and manage annual budgets.
• Ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
• Audit compliance
• Responsible for all accounting operations.
• Attend meetings and effectively communicate with internal team members and external colleagues understanding the priorities and strategic focus of the companies to effectively and profitably grow the businesses.
• Responsible for timely financial reporting and all functions necessary to complete them- journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition, and financial statements.

Experience

• Strong analytical skills of financial data and the ability to make recommendations for improving operational efficiencies with the data
• Expertise and experience with Quickbooks & Excel
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Strong computer skills
• At least 3 years progressive accounting experience with the ability to create, understand and analyze financial data
• Expertise in managing payroll - ADP experience preferred- and employee benefits
• Experience in commercial real estate and/or health & wellness very beneficial
• Experience in business planning

Education & Professional Skills

• Must have excellent communication skills and a strong ability to accomplish tasks through collaboration with others.
• Four Year BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and be a self-starter & critical thinker

Salary: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
