We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Corporate Learning & Development to drive our learning and development programs, oversee implementation, and assess outcomes in line with True’s organizational learning strategy.
The Director of Corporate Learning & Development will work closely with managers, senior leaders, and executives to identify training needs and develop training strategies and programs to meet those needs. Once programs are approved, you will oversee their implementation and ensure that Team Members incorporate the knowledge and skills into daily routines. You will also evaluate the long-term outcomes of the training sessions and spearhead continuous improvement efforts. You will be immediately able to build your training department, including hiring a Corporate Trainer, and will be asked to continue work on building out the Onboarding and Compliance, Professional Development, Management, and Leadership learning pathways and modules there within.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverage creativity and utilize a wide variety of training techniques, such as case studies, role-playing, group activities, icebreaker exercises, etc., to deliver learning and development programs that engage learners and increase retention
- Manage the lifecycle of learning and development initiatives
- Monitor, assess, and report on a program’s effectiveness, success, and ROI; use metrics as benchmarks and offer evidence of the effectiveness of the training and organizational change
- Manage the day-to-day work of practitioners designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions

- Identify and assess current and future learning and development needs through job and career path analysis, employee surveys, professional development discussions, annual performance appraisals, and consultation with Managers and Leadership
- Plan and design appropriate learning and development programs and related materials after evaluating assessments
- Lead program logistics with duties that included managing mid-large scale program design, development, delivery, tracking, and reporting on program milestones
- Deploy a wide variety of adult learning methods (traditional and modern) such as mentoring, coaching, Instructor-led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-led Training (vILT), eLearning, workshops, simulations, etc.
- Represent the evolving discipline and diversity of adult learning captured in the learning strategy
- Deliver engaging, interactive training to adult learners, including but not limited to professional development sessions for leadership
- Demonstrate the unique ability to gain trust and respect in a short time from a highly diverse audience
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working with virtual learning platforms and building digital/virtual learning programs is a plus
- Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Human resources, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, or a related field
- Track record of designing, creating, and executing successful learning and development programs including, but not limited to, new hire orientation, management training, and leadership skills training
- Familiarity with both traditional and modern adult learning methods, trends, and techniques
- Expertise with training needs analysis: job function analysis, task analysis, and audience analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills
- A track record of incorporating the following key behaviors into day-to-day efforts: team-approach, effective listening, developing credibility, building trust, demonstrating reliability, client-driven, future-focused, innovative, and curious
- Proven success in creating and facilitating adult learning
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft products
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Corporate Training, Human Resources, or related field, with 5+ years in Management, preferably in a large corporate environment
- Energetic, positive personality
- Extensive knowledge of adult learning, instructional design techniques, and evaluation methodologies
- PLUS: Knowledge of learning development tools such as Articulate Studio, Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond, and Inkling
- Self-directed and motivated to learn new skills, content, technology, and systems applications
- Experience with project management approaches and tools, such as M.S. Project or Smartsheet
- Strong process background, time management abilities, and skills in effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in an efficient manner
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to quickly assess and summarize information and effectively identify issues and provide potential resolutions
WORKING CONDITIONS AND REPORTING STRUCTURE
- True has a hybrid work environment. However, due to the nature of this role, we do expect this person to be present at the office on a relatively regular basis. Additionally, occasional weekend and/or evening work is required as well as some occasional travel. True’s Director of Corporate Training and Development will report to V.P. of H.R. with a dotted line to the President/ Managing Partner.
