We are looking for a Director, Learning and Development and Organizational Development to work in Chicago, IL (with some remote flexibility), reporting to the Chief People Officer.



Job Summary



Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Director, Learning and Talent Development and Organizational Development will be responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate the engagement, professional development and continuous learning of team members. This role is responsible for designing and fostering a global learning framework and related programs. This role will also be responsible for evaluating and executing the strategy for professional and production training activities to ensure employees have the skills they need to meet evolving business demand. This role will lead our talent management and performance review process including goal setting, succession planning and related activities. The role will partner closely with business leaders and HR to build out robust platforms and programs to drive internal employee development with focus on identifying employee learning and development needs, defining desirable learning outcomes, creating and managing learning curriculums, providing input for selecting, designing, developing and delivering learning modules, and overseeing the success of the learning platform and learning initiatives or programs. Job Responsibilities



  • Lead the design, content approach and governance of the new L&D platform (Catalyst) delivered through eloomi.
  • Ensure learning & development solutions address the company’s most critical needs, equipping Pregis to perform, innovate, and grow while driving team member engagement.
  • Cultivate a high-performing L&D/OD function that is responsible for creating and delivering employee learning and development, talent management solutions and driving activities to assess and improve employee engagement
  • Leads the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet organizational development needs and program goals; evaluates as needed to measure achievement of goals
  • Plans and leads short- and long-term planning and for employee engagement and talent development programs based on feedback from business group leaders and other key stakeholders
  • Develops and executes the talent review and succession strategy, system, and process. Trains managers and employees on “the why” and process.
  • Develops and facilitates change management plans to support the implementation and sustainability of organization wide programs, sensitive to varying degrees of office readiness and infrastructure.
  • Partners with leaders to identify needs and gaps for leadership roles, diversity, bench talent, and other strategic talent segments.
  • Refines Diversity and Inclusion training strategy, building a cohesive strategy with a consistent approach.
  • Lead enterprise-wide training and development initiatives, from conception and design through implementation, measurement and continuous improvement.
  • Uses knowledge of the company's business model and goals; uses financial and organizational data to build and document the business case for investing in learning solutions




Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in business, talent management, organization effectiveness or a related field or an equivalent combination of professional related work experience.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible with a strong learning ability.
  • Certification in talent instruments such as DISC, MBTI, 360-degree assessments a plus
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to relate HR and talent needs to those of the wider enterprise
  • Experience with deploying creative learning solutions to manufacturing and/or hybrid remote workforce
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience of all areas of talent, including learning and development, succession planning; organizational development; workforce planning; assessments; coaching; and talent strategy
  • Certified in Carew International Sales Training a plus
  • Excellent operational skills to include planning, logistics, program management and scheduling with a history of building and maintaining positive relationships both internally and externally
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, negotiate and influence with and without direct authority at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong business acumen to translate business needs and strategies into defined talent pipelines.
  • Expert knowledge of learning management system implementation and administration as well as course authoring tools
  • Experience developing and implementing large-scale learning programs across an organization
  • Solutions-oriented with the ability to develop innovative approaches to learning.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitator skills.
