The Role
We have an exciting new opening for a Director of Core Toys in our Licensing & Merchandising team to manage a portfolio of toy partners across all Moonbug franchises. This person will serve as the lead on all aspects of partner management, forecasting, strategy execution and go to market initiatives in the USA, Canada & Latin America.
The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for translating digital first entertainment properties into consumer product success stories. You have a strong background in toys or other hardlines categories, preferably in kids and family entertainment.
The successful candidate must be autonomous and self-organized, while creative and self-motivated; have strong attention to detail and great communication skills. The candidate must also be proactive, process-driven, meet committed deadlines, and great at working collaboratively in an international environment.
As we are still a young company you will get to build up a team assigned to support the brands as we grow.
This role will report full-time ON-SITE at our West Hollywood Office.
Responsibilities

• Other duties as assigned
• Prepare quarterly forecasts and track product launches and sales results
• Support the VP of Toys in developing long range and annual strategic plans with core toy partners across multiple brands
• Drive accountability across toy partners to maximize revenues and deliver against annual growth targets through strategic line planning and development
• Lead a team of licensing experts, developing their talents and skill sets for growth
• Interface with legal team to ensure smooth flow of contracts from initial draft to final execution
• Lead the day-to-day management of a portfolio of licensees, working with Moonbug Franchise, Product Development, Finance, Legal, Retail and Creative teams.
• Coordinate across regional teams globally to share priorities and synchronize efforts where necessary
• Contribute feedback and brand direction on visual assets, product mockups, packaging, and marketing collateral as relevant to franchise strategy and brand guidelines
• Work closely with internal team to develop and execute program strategy by property and retail channel

Requirements

• Experience within made for kids entertainment is a benefit
• You have 7+ years of experience managing licensees in a commercial function, preferably in toys
• Results-oriented leader with a desire to lead teams to excellence.
• Team player, motivated, ambitious.
• Excellent presentation skills & advanced negotiation skills
• Experience in developing range plans for toys
• Broad experience of retail and/or the licensing industry
• Builds relationships & drives results
• A strong communicator with a can-do, positive attitude and an ability to influence and achieve buy-in at all levels
• A strong background in developing and delivering Joint Business plans
• Sense of humor and desire to have fun!

Salary: $170,000-180,000
