Job Description

Job Summary
This position manages the Information Technology, Security and Telecommunications department in accordance with organizational policies and goals. The VP insures proper functioning of company's information processing system and recommends upgrades as necessary. Helps business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency. This position is responsible for the company’s ability to function and communicate on a 24x7x365 basis.
Essential Job Functions

  • Directs appropriate programming procedures
  • Act as a liaison between technology operations and leadership to keep technology and telecommunications systems maintained and support teams properly staffed
  • Develop and manage Department budget
  • Supervise and coordinate the IS Department staff
  • Oversee IS Network Management
  • Develop and maintain corporate policies and standards aimed at maximizing effectiveness and minimizing costs related to the acquisition, implementation and operation of IS systems.
  • Ensures timely and effective response to user needs in a national environment including the corporate headquarters and all remote locations
  • Provide leadership and direction to internal IS operations and development staff to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Advises the executive team concerning administrative procedures, technical problems and priorities
  • Communicate regularly with business unit leaders to create software specifications, project plans and deliverables that meet current and future needs
  • Oversee IS Security Systems, Policies and Auditing
  • Develop policies and procedures to assure IS systems support business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Additional duties include systems architecture and design, project planning, risk management and mitigation, establishing workflows and timelines, establishing priorities, creating and following budgets, and managing team / inter-departmental communication
  • Direct the design and implementation of computer based business systems throughout the enterprise
  • Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs
  • Directs documentation and tracking of implementation plans
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees
  • Provides strategic oversight to the operation and activities of the network operations

Marginal Job Functions

  • Performs other similar or associated duties as necessary to accomplish job objectives in an effective manner as assigned by Management or as responsibilities necessitate

Education/Experience Required

  • Minimum 7 years IS Management Experience, with 2 years in Director or VP role
  • Financial Service experience a plus
  • Solid AS400 and iSeries experience; excellent computer analysis and technical knowledge
  • Knowledge of Windows 2016 server, Office 2019, PC hardware, printers and TCP/IP networks, Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Exchange, VPN (client connectivity and branch tunnel) required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Project Management
  • MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related field from an accredited four-year college or university

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of and experience in networked, distributed computing environments
  • Proficient knowledge in general IS, general networking and PC maintenance
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Professional level verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a large enterprise environment managing documentation and tracking the progress of implementation plans
  • Work well independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate and direct a team
  • Proven experience in managing 3rd party relationships
  • Maintain confidentiality as outlined in the company’s Confidentiality Agreement
  • Convey professionalism in all day-to-day activities
  • Experienced in technical project implementation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills
