WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Provide training to the Construction, Project, and Area Construction Managers.
• Oversee the construction team and ensure the team is well staffed with talented and experienced individuals with technical abilities, cost control knowledge, and organizational skills.
• Support land acquisition and development activities as needed.
• Foster a team environment with Superintendents and Sales and Marketing to ensure that good communication, coordination of activities, and effective problem-solving occurs.
• Monitor and ensure that the schedule is met and the quality control process in each home is successful.
• Manage Construction budgets for homes and projects. Work with the Purchasing team to identify any shortages / overages.
• Certify the understanding of and adherence to the safety program by all construction personnel.
• Train the construction team to ensure adherence to the safety and warranty programs.

• Coordinate job site cleanliness and safety.
• Recruit and continuously evaluate subcontractors, trades, and vendors for quality standards and schedule deadlines.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Formal OSHA training is preferred.
• Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and relationship skills.
• Computer literacy - Previous Build Pro experience recommended
• 4-6+ years experience in a similar management-level position with a custom or higher-end production home builder
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Business, or another related field is required
• 5 years of direct experience in progressively responsible positions with a production homebuilder.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20/60/100 pounds regularly.
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain.

• Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.
• Continuous walking, standing, and moving about.
• The ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.
• Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs.
