Job Description

Your Role

This position directs and controls construction projects for a division or region to ensure their completion according to plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and contractual commitments.


What You Will Do

  • Ensures homes are built on a budget, on time, and per the company’s quality standards
  • Assists in the value engineering of all construction products and procedures
  • Provides ongoing direction, support, and management to the homebuilding supervisor team
  • Monitors the start-to-close and backlog process each month to facilitate the business plan’s achievement while ensuring consistent activity levels in all departments
  • Monitors information and strategizes with department managers to identify and correct recurring or preventable problems
  • Reviews and approves all department budgets
  • Ensures all established processes and systems relative to homebuilding personnel are being adhered to as formulated, and initiates new construction-related processes to enhance and improve construction operations


What You Will Bring

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, and technical strategies on an individual and group basis
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities
  • Seven to ten years of home-building experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • Ability to use good judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to establish collaborative working relationships with individuals of varying seniority and teams both inside and outside the organization
